Dr. Davis completed her medical school education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1982. Her internship and residency were done at San Diego Naval Hospital.
Captain Davis served 27 years with the Navy, 16 years on active duty and 11 years with the Reserves. She retired from the Navy in 2004. She started her private practice in Solana Beach 14 years ago, while still in the Navy Reserves.
Dr. Davis is on staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, Scripps Hospital Encinitas, and Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. She has served as Section Chief of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at both Scripps Hospitals. She is a member of the California and San Diego Medical Associations and the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
Rhinology: Treatment of sinus disorders, stuffy nose, loss of smell, and nose bleeds. Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and surgical correction of deviated septum and nose bleeds.
Allergy: Treatment by medication, immunotherapy (allergy shots), avoidance of pollen, dust, mold, food and other triggers. Hay fever, chronic sinusitis, laryngitis, sore throat, dizziness and middle ear infections.
Laryngology: Disorders of the throat, including voice and swallowing problems. Sore throat, hoarseness, swallowing disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Head and Neck: Cancerous and noncancerous tumors in the head and neck, thyroid, salivary glands and voice box.
Pediatrics: Ear infections, tonsil and adenoid infections, allergy and sinus disease.
Otology: Diseases of the ear, including trauma, hearing and balance disorders, swimmer’s ear, dizziness and ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
